DMEGC Solar has recently completed a 4.3MW commercial and industrial rooftop solar installation at a leading engineering vehicle equipment manufacturer in Hangzhou, China. The system is expected to deliver around 4.82 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity each year.
The project utilizes DMEGC Solar’s self-developed lightweight photovoltaic modules, offering the host enterprise an economical source of renewable energy while demonstrating the large-scale viability of distributed solar systems on lightweight rooftop structures. It also serves as a pioneering example of how industrial facilities can transition toward greener, low-carbon operations.

Many industrial buildings face constraints due to color steel tile roofs, which typically have limited structural strength and load-bearing capacity. The installation of conventional, heavier PV modules often necessitates expensive roof reinforcements, resulting in a large amount of rooftop space remaining untapped.

DMEGC’s lightweight modules address this issue by reducing overall weight by 44% compared with conventional modules of the same dimensions, making them ideally suited for color steel tile roofs. The modules adopt standardized external sizes and mounting interfaces, ensuring compatibility with conventional mounting systems for straightforward installation and dependable performance. Reinforced load-bearing designs in critical areas further optimize weight reduction while maintaining strong resistance to wind loads, ensuring long-term operational stability.

Operating under a “self-consumption with surplus power fed to the grid” model, the system maximizes the economic value of clean energy generation. Most of the electricity produced is used directly on-site to offset grid purchases, with projected annual electricity cost savings exceeding RMB 3.2 million. Any excess power exported to the grid creates an additional revenue stream, turning the project into a valuable green asset for the enterprise.

With an annual output of 4.82 million kWh, the installation is equivalent to conserving approximately 1,446 tons of standard coal and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by about 2,752 tons per year. This environmental benefit is comparable to planting more than 107,000 trees, supporting the company’s carbon neutrality objectives while strengthening its sustainability credentials and global market competitiveness.

Ranked among the world’s top ten photovoltaic module manufacturers, DMEGC Solar is widely recognized for its broad and differentiated product portfolio. Its Infinity RT series currently leads the industry in conversion efficiency, complemented by a diverse range of offerings including all-black modules, anti-soiling designs, anti-glare solutions, agri-PV products, and lightweight modules.
