Q2 2025 Highlights:
Sports Matter Impact League: Launched in nine cities nationwide to strengthen youth sports programs. Sports Matter Day of Play: Hosted the first-ever event at House of Sport locations, welcoming hundreds of kids for a day of active fun. Twenty House of Sport locations across the U.S. celebrated International Day of Play on June 11 with exciting first-time experiences like biking, rock climbing, and swinging golf clubs. Each participating organization received a Sports Matter Grant to continue offering kids opportunities to play, grow, and connect.
NFL star Tua Tagovailoa, in partnership with Gatorade, surprised children at the Miami HOS, while Gatorade supported all locations by keeping young athletes refreshed throughout the day.
Sports Matter Night – Celebrating the Power of Sports:
On June 10, we hosted our first Sports Matter Night at DICK’S Sporting Goods Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburgh. The evening honored coaches, mentors, and past grant recipients, highlighting the transformative impact of sports. Together, attendees helped raise over $4 million to expand youth sports programs, build confidence, and positively impact more lives.
Gatorade Back-to-School Donation:
For back-to-school season, Gatorade donated $220,500 to Sports Matter, covering over 1,000 youth sport registration fees this fall through Every Kid Sports.
Disaster Relief Efforts:
Earlier this year, DICK’S Sporting Goods and The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation pledged over $10 million for disaster relief and sports restoration in Los Angeles and Asheville, North Carolina. To date, 21 Sports Matter Grants have been awarded:
