CACI’s Flight Simulator Donation Boosts Cybersecurity Education at UAH
CACI International Inc, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has made a generous contribution to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. They have provided a flight simulator to the university, which will be used as an educational tool for teaching cybersecurity principles. This simulator will serve as a practical learning platform for high school students as well as over 2,000 UAH students who are currently enrolled in cyber-related degree programs.

“This flight simulator has served CACI’s mission well, and now it’s time to give it a second life. This simulator will help train students who may choose a career to support our government customers and industry workforce of tomorrow,” said Meisha Lutsey, CACI President of Operations Support and Services. “We are proud to be able to provide such a unique and educational resource to the students of UAH.”

This latest contribution is a testament to CACI International Inc’s commitment to promoting education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with a particular focus on nurturing the cybersecurity professionals of the future.

The flight simulator, an FAA-approved Redbird King Air 350 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), was previously utilized by CACI to deliver scenario-based training to over a hundred pilots prior to their deployment to Afghanistan. This interactive, cutting-edge training equipment will now be housed in the UAH Center for Cybersecurity Research and Education Laboratory.

This act of generosity marks the second initiative by CACI in support of STEM education in Huntsville, following their collaboration with the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE).
