‘Bring on Spring’ Built On Philanthropic Collaboration

08/20/2021

The Home Depot provided over “$200,0000 in products” to the organisations of “Habitat for Humanity” located all over the country.

Dailycsr.com – 20 August 2021 – The “Home Depot” is the “largest home improvement retailer” in the world which, in the spring 2021, had entered into a partnership with “Habitat for Humanity International” with the aim to “Bring on Spring”. Under the said initiative, The Home Depot provided over “$200,0000 in products” to the organisations of “Habitat for Humanity” located all over the country. These tools, thus provided, were meant to “help local communities tackle spring DIY projects and neighborhood revitalization efforts”.

Talking about the reason behind the initiative, The Home Depot’s Executive Vice-President for Merchandising, Jeff Kinnard said that following “an exceedingly tough year”, communities were “ready to get outside and take on spring projects from painting to landscaping”. Kinnard further informed about their excitement about the getting into a partnership with the “Habitat for Humanity” as they former brought in its products and expertise to the table in order to “meet the needs of communities looking to complete spring projects”.

The Home Depot Foundation and the Habitat for Humanity have been in a “decade-long partnership” of serving over “1,400 U.S. military veterans and their families”, while the spring collaboration of this year builds on the same foundations. Under the said initiative, the partners designed landscapes and conducted fencing work at the “first-ever Female Veterans Village in Brevard County, Florida”.  Talking about the donation received from The Home Depot, the Chief Development Officer of “Habitat for Humanity International”, Colleen Finn Ridenhour had said:
“Everyone deserves to have a safe, decent, and affordable place to live and be proud to call home. Revitalization looks different in each neighborhood and The Home Depot’s donation will help us continue to partner with communities to address their local concerns and improve the lives of residents.”

This spring, The Home Depot is encouraging doers at every skill and interest level to take on new projects to Bring on Spring. To find step-by-step instructions, how-to videos, and more for over 3,000 DIY projects, visit homedepot.com/springDIY.
