Alamo City Orthodontics Expands With Pediatric Dentistry Services

05/07/2026

The relocation marks the initial stage of a two-part expansion plan. Beginning in fall 2026, the practice will add pediatric dentistry to its existing orthodontic services, creating a full-service oral healthcare center for children and families across Alamo Heights, Castle Hills, Crownhill Park, Olmos Park, and the wider San Antonio region.

Enhancing the Patient Experience
The upgraded facility delivers significant improvements in both size and innovation. Covering 6,000 square feet, the new office includes larger treatment spaces, state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, and a contemporary setting designed to provide comfort for patients of every age.
“This expansion reflects the next step in our growth,” said Dr. Cristiana “Kika” Araujo, board-certified orthodontist at Alamo City Orthodontics. “By bringing pediatric dentistry into our new, expanded location, we’re making dental care more convenient for families in our community. Our mission has always been to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles, and now we can begin supporting children’s oral health even earlier—all in one location.”

Full-Service Care for the Whole Family
Alamo City Orthodontics continues to offer a wide range of advanced orthodontic services, including:
  • Metal and clear braces
  • Invisalign® treatment for teens and adults
  • Early Phase I orthodontic care
  • Bite alignment treatment and custom sports mouthguards
With pediatric dentistry launching this fall, families will soon have the ease of coordinating both preventive dental care and orthodontic treatment for their children at one trusted practice.

A Trusted Name in San Antonio Dentistry
Established in 1998 by Dr. Roy Gonzales Sr., the practice has served the San Antonio community for over 25 years. Since rebranding as Alamo City Orthodontics in 2022, the practice has continued to grow under the direction of Dr. Cristiana “Kika” Araujo.

A board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Araujo combines global experience with strong academic credentials. She earned her dental degree in Brazil and completed a Master’s in Orthodontics at Saint Louis University. Before relocating permanently to Texas in 2018, she also taught at Jacksonville University’s School of Orthodontics.
