AI-Powered Accessibility: Qualcomm, Cephable & Amputee Coalition Boost Digital Inclusion
Discover how Qualcomm Wireless Reach, Cephable, and the Amputee Coalition teamed up on a project designed to boost digital accessibility, workforce readiness, and productivity. This initiative involved 40 individuals with limb differences and limb loss, who explored the use of AI-enabled PCs powered by Snapdragon X Elite and integrated with Cephable’s assistive technology.
Angela Baker, Chief Sustainability Officer at Qualcomm, and Julia Franklin, Chief Learning Officer at Cephable, shared insights on how making technology more intuitive can benefit a wider range of users. Results from the program showed that 79% of participants intended to keep using Cephable in their regular work routines, with 65% noting improved efficiency in completing tasks.
Since 2006, Qualcomm Wireless Reach has supported social impact projects in over 50 countries, reaching more than 27 million people around the world.
