AEG Foundation Awards $400,000 in Grants to 22 Nonprofits

10/09/2026

With nonprofit organizations nationwide experiencing growing demand for their services and increasing pressure on their resources, the AEG Community Foundation has distributed $400,000 in grants to 22 organizations working to improve K–12 education, expand arts access, and advance health and wellness in communities served by AEG.

Individual grants range from $5,000 to $25,000 and will help fund initiatives that broaden educational access, make arts programs available to more people, and contribute to healthier, more connected communities.

As nonprofits continue to respond to complex community needs with limited funding and capacity, their work remains essential. Through creative and community-focused initiatives, these organizations support young people, encourage artistic expression, promote well-being, and build stronger relationships among community members.

The AEG Community Foundation selected this year's recipients based on their ability to address local priorities and create measurable, meaningful opportunities through education, arts, and wellness programs. The grants recognize the important contribution nonprofits make to communities throughout the country.

Among the returning grant recipients is The Salvation Army Southern California's Red Shield Youth Center, which serves more than 1,000 underserved young people in Los Angeles with academic assistance, STEM learning, and enrichment activities. Atlanta-based Music Education Group (MEG) is another returning recipient, using music education to nurture creativity, strengthen confidence, and encourage student participation.

James Caldwell, Executive Director of Music Education Group, highlighted the value of the organization's ongoing relationship with AEG Presents.

“The Music Education Group’s partnership with AEG Presents demonstrates how corporate support can extend beyond financial assistance to create meaningful routes to opportunity. Continued backing from the AEG Community Foundation, alongside our collaboration with the AEG Presents regional team, connects young people with industry experts, practical learning experiences, and paid opportunities to explore the live entertainment sector firsthand,” Caldwell said.

He added that continued funding reflects AEG's sustained commitment to MEG's mission and to preparing future professionals for creative careers. Through the partnership, young people can progress from classroom learning to practical experience at live venues and, ultimately, careers in music and entertainment.

The latest funding round will also benefit organizations receiving AEG Community Foundation grants for the first time. These include Notes for Notes, which offers Nashville youth free access to professional recording facilities and mentoring, and Las Fotos Project, a program of Los Angeles-based Community Partners that helps young people from underserved communities develop photography skills, receive mentorship, and pursue opportunities in the creative sector.

Helen Alonzo Hurtado, Executive Director of Las Fotos Project, described the award as an important development in the organization's relationship with AEG, which has grown over the past three years.

“Becoming a first-time AEG Community Foundation grantee is an exciting milestone in a partnership that has continued to develop. Through Goldenvoice, AEG has already helped advance our Creative Career Pathways initiative, enabling young photographers to photograph festivals such as Camp Flog Gnaw and gain experience working as creative professionals,” Hurtado said.

She explained that the new grant will support the organization's high school Photo Education program, allowing Las Fotos Project to engage young artists earlier in their creative development. The funding will help participants develop their abilities, express their individual perspectives, and recognize the possibilities available to them, while continuing to benefit from practical industry experience.

Although the 22 organizations pursue different missions, they share a commitment to expanding opportunity and improving lives. The grants will help sustain educational enrichment, arts participation, youth development, mentoring, and wellness initiatives that reach thousands of individuals and families across the United States.

Martha Saucedo, AEG's Chief External Affairs Officer, emphasized the importance of nonprofit organizations in responding to community needs.

“Nonprofits frequently serve on the front lines when communities encounter difficulties, and many are now being called upon to meet growing needs with limited resources,” Saucedo said. “These organizations are widening access to education, arts experiences, and health and wellness services that positively affect people's lives. Through the AEG Community Foundation, we are pleased to invest in organizations that strengthen communities and deliver lasting benefits across the country.”

The latest grants form part of AEG's wider philanthropic and community engagement strategy. During 2025, the company invested nearly $30 million across the United States through foundation grants, charitable donations, employee volunteering, ticket-access initiatives, and in-kind contributions supporting nonprofits, schools, and community groups.

Some organizations selected for this year's grants were nominated by AEG employees who had worked with them or witnessed their contributions to local communities. Following a detailed evaluation, the Foundation's executive board made the final selections based on each organization's demonstrated commitment to positive community outcomes.
