24 Hour Fitness has announced a new collaboration with the San Diego Padres, uniting two San Diego–based organizations around their mutual focus on physical activity, community engagement, and long-term health.
Through the agreement, 24 Hour Fitness will serve as the Official Fitness Center Partner of the San Diego Padres. The brand will participate in selected fan-focused and community programs during the season, supporting the team’s broader initiatives aimed at promoting healthy, active lifestyles for people of all ages.
“Both the Padres and 24 Hour Fitness have deep roots in San Diego, and we share a responsibility to contribute positively to this community through sports and movement,” said Karl Sanft, President and CEO of 24 Hour Fitness. “Across Southern California, we collaborate with organizations that influence how people train, recover, and stay active throughout the year. This partnership allows us to connect with fans in their everyday environments and highlight the importance of movement in daily life.”
The company is currently seeing its most significant growth phase to date and plans to continue building on this momentum following the return of founder and fitness industry veteran Mark Mastrov as owner and executive chair. With renewed leadership and increased investment, 24 Hour Fitness is accelerating strategic brand partnerships, including this alliance with the Padres, centered on shared values of health, wellness, and community impact.
As part of the partnership, 24 Hour Fitness will support the Padres’ youth baseball programs, helping young athletes across the region access structured baseball opportunities in a positive and educational setting. These initiatives focus on participation, skill-building, and inclusivity while lowering barriers to entry and introducing more children to the sport. Programs benefiting from the collaboration include youth baseball and softball day parades and the “Future Padres” program, which provides free jerseys and hats to youth leagues and expands access to organized baseball and softball for thousands of children.
“The Padres are excited to partner with organizations that share our commitment to the community and creating opportunities for people to stay active throughout their lives,” said Sergio Del Prado, Executive Vice President of Business Affairs for the Padres. “24 Hour Fitness recognizes the broader impact of sports, and this partnership reflects our shared dedication to supporting fans, families, and young athletes across San Diego.”
More information about local activations and community experiences will be shared as the season progresses.
