The ninth edition of the "Choose France" Summit commenced on Monday at the Palace of Versailles, where French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed international business executives to explore the future of global industry. Among the invited participants was HCM, a prominent global producer of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials, making its debut appearance at this prestigious gathering.

HCM's invitation reflects strong recognition of its advanced materials expertise within Europe's strategic supply chain ecosystem. It also highlights growing collaboration between Taiwan and France in the fields of renewable energy, defense, and aerospace.

Addressing Europe's Strategic Priorities
As geopolitical conditions continue to evolve, HCM has emerged as an important supplier of critical upstream materials. The company's competitive advantage is built on three key strengths: proprietary LMFP technology, AI-enabled smart manufacturing facilities, and comprehensive "Total Solution" capabilities. Together, these strengths provide customers with high safety standards, lower production costs, and efficient large-scale manufacturing capacity.

These capabilities align closely with Europe's objectives of strengthening energy independence and enhancing supply chain security. HCM has recently achieved notable commercial success by supporting a leading European maritime group in securing premium international contracts across Europe and Asia valued at nearly US$10 billion. This achievement has elevated HCM's profile at the summit and reinforced its position as a trusted long-term partner for major European industrial organizations.

More Than a Decade of Defense and Aerospace Collaboration
During the summit, HCM Chairman Tony Chen emphasized that the company has worked closely with leading lithium battery manufacturers in Europe and the United States for more than ten years. Through these partnerships, LMFP battery technologies have been developed and successfully certified under stringent European defense standards, demonstrating outstanding safety, reliability, and performance in demanding operating environments.

Over the last two years, HCM has further expanded the application of its technology in highly specialized European sectors, including national defense, advanced aerospace programs, and low-Earth-orbit satellite communications. These efforts have positioned the company as an important contributor to the advancement of next-generation technologies across Europe.

Strengthening Global Strategic Partnerships
By participating in the Choose France Summit, HCM is helping reshape international perceptions of Taiwan's role in the global technology sector, moving beyond its traditional reputation as an OEM manufacturing hub. Leveraging its leadership in LMFP materials innovation and intelligent manufacturing, the company is collaborating with French industry partners to establish a framework for sustainable, mutually beneficial international cooperation.

This version is fully rewritten, maintains the original facts and structure, and is suitable for corporate communications, press releases, or executive summaries.

The fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) has officially begun its 100-day countdown. With the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” the event has grown over its first three editions into a major platform that promotes global collaboration across industrial and supply chains. Its concept and influence now extend beyond China, contributing to broader international standards. Notably, the ISO 25639-1: Exhibitions and Events—Vocabulary international guideline—developed by the global business community—now incorporates elements inspired by the expo’s innovative model, including language that highlights the importance of linking businesses with partners across supply chains.

This year’s edition will reach an important milestone with the debut of its first Artificial Intelligence zone, presenting a full overview of the AI ecosystem—from data and computing capacity to real-world applications. The exhibition will cover six key supply-chain sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Energy, Smart Vehicles, Digital Technology, Healthy Living, and Green Agriculture, alongside a dedicated Supply Chain Services Exhibition Area. Attendees will see participation from both Chinese and international companies, including newcomers in emerging industries such as AI-driven robotics, drones and low-altitude aviation, and biomanufacturing, as well as established firms showcasing the latest innovations in industrial and supply-chain modernization.

Another new feature of the fourth CISCE is a stronger emphasis on targeted collaboration. Expanding on the previous “Guest Country of Honor” concept, organizers will introduce “Guest Provinces” for the first time. This initiative invites overseas provinces, states, and regions with distinctive industrial strengths to join the expo, creating more focused opportunities for business partnerships with Chinese provinces, cities, and companies.

Interest from the global business community remains strong. During the third CISCE, international exhibitors made up about 35% of all participants, while more than 40 executives from Fortune Global 500 companies and 172 overseas delegations traveled to China specifically for the event. This participation underscores the growing global interest in supply-chain cooperation and opportunities within the Chinese market. Preparations for the upcoming expo are progressing steadily.

Organizers have already hosted 19 international roadshows worldwide to promote the event and are aiming to further increase both the share of overseas exhibitors and the number of visiting delegations. So far, over 500 companies from China and abroad have confirmed their participation, with exhibitor recruitment now nearing completion.
