Tell us a little about yourself and your career journey.
I’m a Principal Product Manager at GoDaddy, leading our GoDaddy Studio mobile apps. These apps provide early-stage entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools to create, manage, and grow their brands directly from their smartphones.

My career began more than ten years ago as a Product Management intern at Info Edge (India) Ltd. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work across diverse product environments. At 99acres.com, I gained firsthand experience of full product ownership, navigating both a major product launch failure and its eventual turnaround. Later, at Expedia, I managed global-scale mobile experiences for the Hotels and Packages segment. My journey has been shaped by collaboration with exceptionally talented teams in both technology and business.

Academically, I hold a degree in Computer Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and an MBA from FMS, Delhi—both of which helped me develop a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking.

Outside of work, I’ve played Badminton at the national level in India (and I still enjoy smashing a few shuttlecocks on weekends). I also spend a lot of time answering the endlessly curious questions of my 4-year-old daughter—many of which could easily rival a TED Talk. When it comes to travel, I lean toward exploring popular destinations, but with a focus on comfort.

What's the most rewarding part of your job?
For me, the most fulfilling part is seeing the tangible impact our products have on people’s lives. GoDaddy Studio helps entrepreneurs quickly launch products and start accepting payments through features like Paylinks. Watching them use our tools to build and grow their businesses is incredibly gratifying. Working alongside such passionate and skilled colleagues only amplifies that sense of fulfillment.

How do you balance short-term goals with long-term product strategy?
Balancing immediate priorities with long-term vision is one of the classic challenges of product management. It’s easy to get caught up in quarterly targets, urgent requests, or the allure of a shiny new feature and lose sight of the broader impact your product should deliver.
True impact comes from linking short-term wins to a long-term vision. Start by defining a clear, inspiring north star and aligning leadership and cross-functional teams around it. Break that vision into measurable OKRs so quarterly goals directly contribute to the bigger picture. This framework allows teams to prioritize initiatives that reinforce the overarching mission.

At the same time, flexibility is crucial. When urgent requests arise, we evaluate trade-offs openly with stakeholders and aim to minimize any impact on long-term objectives.

What makes the GoDaddy Studio Product team unique?
It’s the ownership and dedication of each team member. Everyone genuinely cares about our users and takes pride in the products we’re building. There’s a shared commitment to understanding our customers and continuously enhancing their experience.

Are there any resources you recommend for personal development?
Absolutely. Reforge has been invaluable for modern, practical insights into product management, blending strategy and execution effectively.

Outside the PM world, I’ve enjoyed books like Thinking, Fast and Slow, The Psychology of Money, and Same as Ever, which explore human behavior and decision-making—both personally and professionally. I also recommend Why We Get Sick, which provides insights into lifestyle-related health issues and strategies for living a more energetic, healthier life.

What's your personal mantra?
Balance. Most things in life work best within an optimal range—whether it’s ambition versus contentment, speed versus quality, or work versus time with my daughter. Understanding this “good range” and the trade-offs involved in straying from it is key to both personal and professional success.
