   <title>Connectivity: America’s Next Growth Engine</title>

      <div style="text-align: justify;">I grew up in the oil fields of West Texas, in a region that often seemed to be overlooked by the rest of the country. Coming from a place that others treat as an afterthought leaves a lasting impression. It has shaped the way I think about opportunity and the work I do every day. <br />   <br />  When I entered the wireless industry three decades ago, rural communities and smaller markets faced a similar reality. Many in the industry believed that investing in advanced wireless infrastructure in those areas simply wasn’t economical. I never accepted that assumption. In my experience, the communities that receive the least attention are often the ones where investment can make the greatest difference. <br />   <br />  As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, I’ve been thinking about the way our nation has progressed by continually expanding access to opportunity. <br />   <br />  That principle has also been central to the story of T-Mobile. <br />   <br />  T-Mobile began as a challenger, driven by the belief that Americans deserved better choices and better service. Over time, we grew into a company that built the nation’s first nationwide 5G network. One lesson has remained consistent: when businesses genuinely compete to serve customers better, consumers ultimately benefit. <br />   <br />  America has experienced this kind of transformation before. Railroads helped unite a rapidly expanding nation. Electricity fundamentally changed manufacturing and daily life. The interstate highway network opened new possibilities for commerce and mobility. The internet then reshaped almost every part of modern society. <br />   <br />  Today, connectivity is the infrastructure of our time. It underpins the way we work, educate ourselves, run businesses, receive medical care and respond to emergencies. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in everyday life, the demands placed on our networks will grow dramatically. America’s ability to remain competitive in an AI-driven world will depend, in part, on whether its connectivity infrastructure can keep pace. <br />   <br />  That is why connectivity should be treated as a national priority. Government and the private sector each have an important role in promoting investment, maintaining healthy competition and extending reliable access to communities across the country. Where someone lives should not determine whether they can participate fully in the future. <br />   <br />  Infrastructure is ultimately about bringing people together. When a hurricane destroys power and communications, first responders must still be able to reach people who need help. Reliable networks can be a matter of life and death. That is why we created dedicated network capacity for first responders and continue working to eliminate the areas that are still considered connectivity dead zones. <br />   <br />  But connectivity is about much more than emergencies. It creates opportunity. Through our Hometown Grants program, we have supported 500 communities. Friday Night 5G Lights has helped nearly 800 rural schools. Project 10Million has brought reliable internet access to millions of students who previously lacked it at home. <br />   <br />  We are also finding new ways to use technology to remove everyday barriers. Live Translation, built directly into our network, allows two people speaking different languages to communicate in real time without requiring separate apps or downloadable language packs. Consider a parent who does not speak English being able to speak directly with a child’s teacher. Not long ago, that scenario would have seemed futuristic. Today, it can happen through the network people already carry with them. <br />   <br />  For most people, that is where AI becomes meaningful: as a practical technology that breaks down obstacles and creates new possibilities. As AI tools become increasingly woven into daily life, they will rely on networks that are fast, dependable and accessible wherever people live. <br />   <br />  And as reliance on connectivity grows, so too does the risk of a widening divide between those with dependable access and those without it. Closing that divide will be essential if the United States wants to maintain its economic and technological advantage. <br />   <br />  I understand what it is like to come from a community that others assume has little role in shaping the future. I have also witnessed what can happen when someone chooses to invest in those communities despite those assumptions. Companies expand. Families gain new opportunities. Communities become stronger. And the nation benefits. <br />   <br />  The next 250 years of American progress should be guided by that same belief: that opportunity should not be reserved for the places that already have it. Investing in people, communities and the infrastructure that connects them is how we build a stronger future. That is the challenge—and the opportunity—before us today.</div>

As artificial intelligence continues to drive skyrocketing computing needs, traditional air-cooling methods are hitting their limits. Chemours’ Opteon™ two-phase liquid cooling technology offers a transformative alternative — reducing energy usage by up to 90%, minimizing water consumption nearly to zero, and decreasing data center space requirements by as much as 60%. This innovation is revolutionizing the backbone of our digital infrastructure. <br />   <br />  However, groundbreaking innovation thrives only when supported by an enabling regulatory environment. Currently, the U.S. regulatory system often slows progress, with lengthy approval processes for new products and chemistries that can take years to complete. These delays risk shifting American innovation to other countries with faster approval pathways, weakening the nation’s global competitiveness and delaying the adoption of safer, more sustainable technologies at home. <br />   <br />  To safeguard America’s leadership in science and technology, regulatory modernization is essential. Reforms should focus on streamlining programs such as the Toxic Substances Control Act, harmonizing federal and state permitting procedures, and ensuring regulators are informed about the real-world applications and benefits of emerging chemistries. Without these updates, innovations born in the U.S. may flourish elsewhere instead. <br />   <br />  Looking ahead, the message is unmistakable: innovation drives economic growth, sustainability, and national resilience — but it requires the right environment to thrive. Delaware stands out as a leader in this mission. With its robust academic institutions, dynamic business ecosystem, and strong tradition of collaboration between the public and private sectors, the First State exemplifies how innovation and regulation can advance together. The Chemours Discovery Hub serves as a powerful example of what can be achieved when science, industry, and policy work in harmony.</div>
