As artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and electrification fuel unprecedented demand for electricity across North America, organizations are encountering increasing obstacles. Lengthy interconnection backlogs, limited transmission capacity, and weakening grid reliability are becoming critical concerns. Stability Ready is designed to tackle these issues by accelerating access to power while simultaneously reinforcing grid strength rather than adding strain.

“Access to power has evolved beyond a basic infrastructure concern—it is now a key factor influencing business growth,” said Nicolas Sanloup, Managing Director for Linxon Americas. “Stability Ready was created to enable customers to advance with confidence, delivering not just capacity, but also the reliability and predictability essential for operating large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure.”

A new benchmark for rapid power deployment and grid resilience

Stability Ready brings together established technologies with standardized delivery approaches to create scalable, ready-to-implement solutions. These systems are tailored for energy-intensive and rapidly expanding sectors—especially data centers—while also supporting utilities in maintaining grid stability amid the retirement of traditional power generation assets.

Key components of the offering include:

Modular, standardized power units capable of delivering high-capacity output within reliable timelines

On-site and behind-the-meter solutions that enable phased growth and enhance operational resilience

Grid reinforcement upgrades that strengthen overloaded substations and facilitate renewable energy integration

By combining power delivery with grid support into a unified solution, Stability Ready™ minimizes project uncertainties, accelerates deployment, and enhances long-term system dependability.

Electricity demand in the United States is rising faster than conventional grid expansion can accommodate. At the same time, the transition away from legacy generation and the rise of renewable, inverter-based resources are adding complexity to grid operations. This has resulted in a growing “stability gap,” where simply adding capacity is no longer enough.

Stability Ready addresses this challenge by ensuring that new power sources are not only deployed quickly, but are also reliable, robust, and fully aligned with existing grid systems.

Linxon delivers Stability Ready as a comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solution. By securing essential equipment early and applying standardized design and execution models across multiple sites, Linxon enables:

More predictable project timelines

Lower risk related to supply chain disruptions and grid interconnection delays

Consistent performance across different locations and projects

Contact:
Maria Vejar, Communications Lead, Linxon Americas
mariajose.vejar@linxon.com | +1 984 286 0457

When Superstorm Sandy struck in 2012, power outages affected over 90% of our customers. Since then, our top priority has been creating an energy system that’s more robust, intelligent, and resilient than ever before.

Over the past decade, we’ve invested $30 billion to strengthen New Jersey’s gas and electric infrastructure — nearly three-quarters of which went directly toward improving reliability and resiliency. These efforts have included dozens of projects to reinforce, modernize, and protect transmission and distribution networks statewide. Those upgrades are already delivering real benefits to our customers.

A System That Performs — Rain or Shine
From elevating substations in flood-prone areas to installing advanced technologies, we’ve completed hundreds of projects designed to keep power flowing in every condition. These improvements ensure strong performance not only on clear days, but also during storms and other severe weather events.

A key part of this progress has been our “Last Mile” initiative, focused on enhancing the final stage of power delivery to homes and businesses. This effort accelerated during the pandemic, as remote work and learning became the norm. Circuits upgraded through the Infrastructure Advancement Program (IAP) have led to 22% fewer outages and 23% fewer customers impacted on average.

And when outages do occur — most often due to weather — restoration happens faster. Our customers are typically reconnected in less time than the national average. In fact, in 2023 and 2024, our 2.4 million electric customers experienced some of the best reliability results in our history, as measured by the System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI).

Our natural gas network has also seen major improvements. Upgrades have made the system more efficient and significantly reduced the likelihood of leaks for our 1.9 million gas customers.

“Through these strategic investments, PSE&G has created a durable and dependable energy infrastructure capable of serving customers reliably — even during the most challenging weather conditions,” said Kim Hanemann, PSE&G President and Chief Operating Officer.

Beyond reliability, our infrastructure programs have generated local jobs and strengthened New Jersey’s economy. Combined, the Energy Strong, IAP, and Gas System Modernization Program (GSMP) initiatives have supported more than 9,000 jobs statewide.

Raising the Bar for Resilience: Energy Strong I & II
The Energy Strong programs were launched to harden and modernize our electric and gas systems for the 21st century. Highlights include:

42 substations elevated above Superstorm Sandy flood levels, reducing flood risk during major storms.

Installation of 1,500+ smart switching devices equipped with wireless communication, which automatically reroute power and shorten response times — cutting average customer interruptions by 21%.

Deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) that uses real-time data and high-speed communication to detect, diagnose, and restore power faster.

Reliability at the Neighborhood Level: Infrastructure Advancement Program (IAP)
Our IAP “Last Mile” upgrades have improved performance at the local level — down to individual neighborhoods and streets. So far, results include:

Circuit enhancements in over 130 municipalities across New Jersey.

22% fewer outage events and 23% fewer affected customers where improvements have been completed.

Cleaner, Safer Natural Gas Systems
Through the Gas System Modernization Program (GSMP), we’ve replaced more than 1,600 miles of outdated cast-iron and unprotected steel pipes prone to leaks. The impact has been substantial:

A 45% reduction in gas leaks across our entire system.

Certain towns achieved even greater results — up to 90% fewer leaks in one area and 68% fewer in another.

Since 2011, reported methane emissions have declined by 44%.

Powering New Jersey — Today and for the Future
Each day, we deliver reliable energy to millions across New Jersey through:

22,600 miles of electric distribution lines

18,200 miles of natural gas mains

We plan decades ahead to ensure our systems remain resilient and ready for tomorrow’s demands. By continuing to innovate, invest, and operate efficiently, we strive to maintain dependable service while keeping costs manageable.

No matter how the energy landscape evolves, you can count on us to provide safe, reliable, and forward-looking service for the people and businesses of New Jersey.
