From the acclaimed author of “The Doctor’s Voice” comes a bold new release aimed at equipping healthcare leaders, policymakers, and clinicians with a practical and forward-thinking guide to navigating the rise of artificial intelligence and robotics in medicine.

In “The Doctor’s Future: A Blueprint for Future-Proofing Your Profession and for Healthcare Decision Makers Leading the Evolution of AI/Robotics-Powered Medicine” (published by Balboa Press), Dr. Pietro Emanuele Garbelli addresses a critical question facing modern healthcare: how can the human touch in medicine be preserved while embracing rapid technological disruption?

Leveraging more than 20 years of clinical and leadership experience across Europe, Garbelli explores how emerging technologies are already transforming the field. Tools like AI-driven diagnostics, predictive analytics, and automated administrative systems are no longer futuristic concepts—they are actively reshaping healthcare delivery. Yet, many professionals remain unprepared, grappling with uncertainty, resistance, and a lack of clear strategy.

Rather than portraying technology as a threat, the book positions it as a powerful partner capable of improving accuracy, efficiency, and patient access—provided it is guided by strong ethical principles and human oversight. Central to the book is the Healthcare Convergence Framework®, a structured approach designed to help organizations and professionals evaluate their readiness for AI adoption while maintaining patient safety, accountability, and a human-centered focus. The framework offers practical steps to align clinicians, policymakers, and technologists in building a system where innovation supports—not replaces—human care.

Garbelli emphasizes empowerment over fear: the emergence of AI and robotics represents not an end, but a transformation that calls for adaptability, leadership, and clarity of purpose. He encourages healthcare professionals to take an active role in shaping the future rather than reacting to it.

Serving as both a strategic guide and a call to action, the book provides a roadmap for those determined to stay relevant and influential in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape—ensuring that the physician of tomorrow remains not only necessary, but strengthened and indispensable.

Book Details
The Doctor’s Future: A Blueprint for Future-Proofing Your Profession and for Healthcare Decision Makers Leading the Evolution of AI/Robotics-Powered Medicine
By Dr. Pietro Emanuele Garbelli

Hardcover | 5.5 x 8.5 in | 250 pages | ISBN: 9798765257814
Softcover | 5.5 x 8.5 in | 250 pages | ISBN: 9798765257807
E-book | 250 pages | ISBN: 9798765257791
Available through major retailers, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Kauhale Healthcare Management (“Kauhale”) has assumed management responsibilities for Kingswood Senior Living Community (“Kingswood”), a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) based in Overland Park, Missouri.

Effective January 1, 2026, Kauhale began overseeing the 332-residence campus after it was acquired through a bankruptcy sale. As part of its long-term strategy, the organization plans to convert the long-standing life care model—originally established when the community opened in 1982—into a rental-based structure.

Under Kauhale’s leadership, Kingswood will undergo comprehensive improvements spanning clinical care, resident services, amenities, team member engagement, and overall resident well-being. The plan also includes an investment exceeding $12 million in capital upgrades over the next three years. The initiative is being led by Jim Palculict, President and Chief Operating Officer of Kauhale, and represents the company’s second engagement managing a full continuum-of-care senior living campus for a new ownership group.

“At Kauhale, our focus on excellence is driven by our people,” said Palculict while adding, “Our approach centers on building strong, dedicated care teams and fostering environments that support purpose, wellness, and reassurance for residents and their families. In collaboration with Kingswood Executive Director Sergio del Pino and key stakeholders, we have developed a thoughtful plan designed to meet the evolving needs of seniors in Overland Park. Our goal is to restore Kingswood’s position as a leading senior healthcare community in the region.”
