As schools increasingly rely on digital communication, administrators are expected to keep families informed, foster stronger school communities, and coordinate outreach through multiple channels—all while navigating an expanding range of technology platforms.

Responding to feedback from educators and district administrators, ClassDojo has introduced a comprehensive set of new features designed to simplify schoolwide communication, improve family engagement, and provide school leaders with a centralized platform for managing outreach.

Widely recognized for its classroom communication tools, ClassDojo has expanded its focus beyond individual classrooms to offer a complete schoolwide solution that supports administrators, teachers, students, and families throughout the entire educational community.

The latest enhancements include multichannel announcements delivered via email, SMS, voice, and the ClassDojo mobile app, integrated Canva-powered newsletter creation, one-click social media publishing, schoolwide engagement analytics, and dedicated communication tools for middle and high schools that enable secure teacher-to-student messaging. These additions allow school leaders to communicate more effectively with families and students, highlight school achievements, reinforce core values, recognize positive student behavior, monitor engagement trends, and encourage improved student outcomes.

According to Jeff Buening, General Manager of ClassDojo, school leaders have consistently emphasized the need to reduce the number of disconnected tools they use rather than adopting additional software. He noted that while ClassDojo has long enabled teachers to build meaningful relationships with families at the classroom level, the platform's latest capabilities extend those benefits across the entire school, helping administrators strengthen communication, deepen family partnerships, and create closer connections between home and school.

Schools that have implemented ClassDojo across their campuses have reported notable improvements in family participation. Around 80% of families read messages on the day they are received, schools experience a 25% increase in active family engagement, and family-initiated conversations rise by approximately 20%. Additionally, nearly three-quarters of principals say the platform helps cultivate a more positive school culture while reinforcing expected student behaviors.

The newly launched capabilities enable schools to:

Deliver announcements across multiple communication channels by composing a single message that can be shared through the app and email, with SMS and voice call options available for district partners.

Produce visually appealing HTML newsletters and announcements quickly using the integrated Canva design tools before distributing them through ClassDojo.

Publish school updates directly to social media platforms with a single click.

Monitor family and teacher participation through a comprehensive engagement dashboard, allowing administrators to identify opportunities for stronger connections and targeted support.

Better serve middle and high schools through an enhanced user experience, communication tools designed for multiple classes, and secure messaging between teachers and students in eligible schools.

These improvements are intended to help schools strengthen relationships with families, one of the highest priorities for education leaders. To ensure accessibility for diverse communities, ClassDojo automatically translates messages into more than 190 languages, making it easier for multilingual families to stay informed and actively participate in their children's education.

The update also broadens the platform's support for secondary education by introducing features specifically tailored to the needs of middle and high school educators, students, and families.

All of the newly announced features for school leaders are scheduled to roll out for the 2026–27 academic year. ClassDojo will continue offering its platform free of charge to schools, teachers, and families.

As school districts nationwide face growing pressure to boost graduation rates amid increasingly complex requirements, Education Advanced, Inc.—a leading provider of K-12 operational and workflow technology—has enhanced its Pathways solution to help districts better support students on their journey to graduation and beyond.

Graduation pathways are becoming more complex as districts adapt to evolving accountability frameworks, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) standards, and rising expectations for student support and family involvement. Education leaders are looking for more integrated, transparent tools to track student progress, intervene earlier, and ensure every learner stays on track to earn a diploma.

“Ensuring every student graduates is the ultimate objective, but achieving that requires greater accuracy and insight than ever before,” said Krista Endsley, CEO of Education Advanced, Inc. “Districts need clear visibility and coordinated processes to make sure no student is overlooked. Pathways was designed to simplify this complexity and empower educators throughout the graduation process.”

The emphasis on structured graduation pathways is gaining momentum in Texas, where accountability metrics and CCMR performance significantly impact district success. Nearly 150 districts statewide—including El Paso ISD, Fort Stockton ISD, and Willis ISD—have adopted Pathways to strengthen graduation planning and postsecondary readiness initiatives.

Pathways aligns data, workflows, and communication to support Education Advanced’s mission of enabling student success from enrollment to graduation. Recent enhancements include:

CCMR Bonus Funding Estimator – Allows districts to project potential bonus funding linked to college, career, and military readiness outcomes, helping leaders better allocate resources.

Customizable District Dashboard – Offers real-time insights into graduation progress, accountability metrics, and at-risk students to enable timely intervention.

Counselor-Student Activity Tracking – Simplifies counseling documentation and coordination across grade levels to ensure consistent student support.

MyPathways Family Portal – Enhances family engagement by providing access to graduation plans, four-year course planning tools, and progress updates.

TestHound Integration – Combines assessment, end-of-course (EOC), and accommodations data with graduation pathways, offering a unified view of student readiness and accountability requirements.

“Integrating TestHound with Pathways helps districts—especially in Texas—meet key requirements such as HB 1416 reporting, streamline eligibility tracking, and reduce manual processes,” Endsley added. “This connected approach enables educators to identify needs sooner and take action, keeping students on track for graduation and future success.”

Pathways is part of Education Advanced’s broader portfolio of solutions, including Evaluation and TestHound, which support educator development, assessment management, and graduation tracking. Together, these tools help districts create a more streamlined and effective path to graduation and beyond.

Click here to know more about how Pathways helps districts power the journey to graduation.
