Baker Hughes has unveiled the newest version of its Cordant industrial software—Release 26.1—introducing enhanced functionality aimed at boosting operational reliability, improving performance stability, and advancing sustainability goals. The update was announced during the 2026 Baker Hughes Annual Meeting in Florence.

Cordant 26.1 broadens enterprise-wide visibility for energy and industrial operators by delivering deeper insight across asset portfolios. The release improves access to high-quality, decision-ready data while expanding usability through a more open, modular, and scalable platform design. This architecture enables a wider range of stakeholders to leverage actionable insights across complex operations.

“Energy and industrial operators are under increasing pressure to achieve more with greater speed, accuracy, and accountability,” said Aravind Yarlagadda, Senior Vice President of Industrial Solutions, Industrial & Energy Technology at Baker Hughes.

“This update strengthens Cordant’s ability to unify asset intelligence, risk insights, and operational data within a single ecosystem—helping organizations reduce unexpected outages, allocate capital more strategically, and enhance day-to-day performance.”

Strengthening Asset Performance Management
The latest release enhances reliability and risk transparency by integrating asset strategy, integrity management, and health monitoring into a cohesive workflow. New and upgraded features—including advanced Failure Mode Analytics, waveform analysis, and deeper KPI drilldown capabilities—are now directly linked to risk modeling, capital planning, and integrity management processes.

AI-powered tools such as cross-domain failure mode mapping and automated risk alignment are designed to minimize manual effort while enabling clearer risk quantification and long-term strategic consistency across asset portfolios.

Driving Process Optimization for Improved Efficiency
Cordant Process Optimization now includes a flexible objective function that allows operators to assess multiple operating scenarios—whether the goal is to increase production, lower energy consumption, or balance both priorities. Real-time, context-aware recommendations guide users toward improvements in throughput, efficiency, and profitability.

These enhancements help organizations respond effectively to shifting market and operational demands while embedding sustainability considerations directly into process decisions. Results may vary depending on site-specific configurations and operational factors.

Scaling Sustainability Efforts
A newly introduced integration between Baker Hughes’ Energy & Emissions Management (EEM) solution and Cordant FastLCA centralizes emissions and energy data across facilities and assets. This consolidated view supports the identification of emissions hotspots, optimization of energy use, and prioritization of decarbonization initiatives using standardized, auditable methodologies.

By embedding lifecycle data into daily operational workflows, Cordant supports regulatory compliance and sustainability progress without increasing user complexity.

Advancing Platform Usability and Security
Core platform improvements enhance usability, flexibility, and enterprise readiness across all Cordant applications. Features such as multi-language support, automated notifications, guided user walkthroughs, and customizable reporting tools help accelerate adoption and improve accessibility across global teams.

With more than a century of innovation in the energy sector, Baker Hughes continues to combine digital platforms like Cordant with its established industrial technologies—empowering customers to optimize performance, extend asset longevity, and strengthen financial returns.

The Clorox Company has announced a strategic alliance with Manufacture 2030 to support its suppliers in meeting carbon reduction objectives and advance Clorox’s overarching goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. M2030 offers resources to assist suppliers in measuring, managing, and cutting down their carbon emissions. Through this collaboration, Clorox aims to further decarbonize its value chain by gathering emissions data, defining actionable reduction strategies, and providing continuous skill development for suppliers.

"As part of our commitment to a cleaner world, Clorox is responsible for equipping suppliers with the skills necessary for their sustainability efforts," stated Niki King, Clorox’s Chief Sustainability Officer. "Meaningful climate action demands that companies engage with every part of their supply chain to reduce their environmental impact."

This initiative will be gradually introduced to suppliers of key raw materials and packaging—areas accounting for over half of Clorox’s scope 3 emissions. Eva Choe, Chief Procurement Officer, highlighted the company's dedication to sustainability, noting, "Our suppliers share our commitment to responsible practices, supported by our 15-year business partner code of conduct. We believe M2030’s platform will enable our suppliers to create actionable plans and achieve significant carbon reductions through critical industry collaboration."

M2030 allows suppliers to track and share progress on the M2030 platform and export data for reporting to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Together, we aim to reach significant carbon reduction targets across the consumer goods industry."

This partnership is a key component of Clorox’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals within its IGNITE corporate strategy, marking a significant step in its commitment to transparency and achieving science-based targets for 2030 and a net-zero carbon footprint by 2050.

Click here to know more about The Clorox Company's sustainability progress and commitments.

Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business, a leading global consultant on energy and emissions management and corporate renewable purchasing, has appointed Pasha Ponomarev as the new Head of Sustainability for EMEA.

The Sustainability Business integrates strategy and action to help clients achieve a zero-carbon future. Businesses can use the division to get market and climate risk analysis, as well as energy management and efficiency services, sustainability and climate action consulting, and renewable energy and carbon mitigation advice. The company's growing portfolio of digital solutions includes EcoStruxureTM Resource Advisor, Zeigo, and the NEO NetworkTM, all of which have been recognized as best-in-class solutions for resource and renewable energy management.

Pasha will oversee the division's EMEA services, advising clients on how to manage extreme energy volatility in the region in the context of broader sustainability legislation and stakeholder pressures.

Pasha assumes this position at a critical juncture. Most CEOs continue to prioritize sustainability, but many organizations lack the necessary expertise to achieve their goals, or have committed to decarbonization without a realistic plan or timeline for meeting these targets. Because of his experience growing and leading global sustainability advisory teams, Pasha is well-positioned to assist Schneider Electric's clients in advancing their decarbonization efforts by leveraging best-in-class methodologies, software, and practices.

“During this time of unprecedented uncertainty and volatility in the energy markets, companies are looking for pragmatic solutions that can address the problems of today without jeopardizing long-term sustainability agendas. To do this, we must combine truly innovative products with digital solutions and highly effective teams to drive efficient, resilient operations and tackle the climate crisis at the same time,” said Pasha. “I’m honored by the opportunity to lead Schneider’s world class advisory team in developing and deploying these solutions for our European clients.”

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Pasha held a number of positions that all focused on developing and implementing sustainability strategies for leading global organizations. He has led strategy consulting projects across many industries and geographies as a Senior Executive, and he brings a scientific background and a love of technology to the pressing challenges of climate change and the energy transition.
