As students across Europe prepare for the new academic year, iScooter has unveiled a 45-day Back-to-School campaign running from July 28 to September 10, 2026. Timed to coincide with the busy August shopping season, the promotion features exclusive student discounts, special accessory deals, and a selection of electric mobility products designed to suit a variety of commuting and lifestyle needs.

With campuses reopening, demand for efficient and flexible transportation is on the rise. University students and young professionals are increasingly seeking compact mobility solutions for traveling between campuses, accommodation, and public transport hubs. At the same time, families shopping for the new school year are looking for transportation options that cater to both adults and children.

To address these diverse needs, iScooter is offering a range of electric mobility products, including electric scooters, electric bicycles, and children's ride-on vehicles. Featured models include the i8, i9, EB3S, and iK3Pro, each designed for different types of riders.

The i8 Electric Scooter serves as an affordable entry-level option for users seeking a practical everyday ride. Those looking for enhanced performance for regular city travel can opt for the i9 Electric Scooter, which combines convenience with reliable urban mobility. For riders who prefer greater flexibility, the EB3S Electric Bike is suitable for both daily commutes and longer recreational journeys. Families shopping for younger riders can consider the iK3Pro children's electric scooter, which is specifically designed to meet children's mobility requirements.

As part of the promotion, students who verify their status through EDiU are eligible for an additional 8% discount on selected products. The campaign also includes a limited-time accessory offer, allowing the first 50 qualifying customers to purchase a student accessory bundle at 50% off, while supplies remain available.

In addition to promotional offers, iScooter has launched a Student Affiliate Program aimed at strengthening its presence within university communities. By working with student content creators, campus organizations, and other partners, the initiative seeks to introduce more students to practical and sustainable electric mobility options during the back-to-school season.

The Principal Charity Classic has unveiled its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting its ongoing dedication to integrating sustainable practices throughout the tournament. This year’s report emphasizes notable advancements in environmental conservation, community involvement, and the development of partnerships to promote sustainability across Central Iowa.

Key Highlights from 2024:

Waste Diversion and Reduction: The tournament increased its waste diversion rate to 23.7%, up from 13.9% in 2023, aiming for 40% by 2025. This progress was driven by collaborations with Iowa Waste Exchange, Metro Waste Authority, SEI Investments Company, and St. Vincent de Paul to recycle, repurpose, and compost materials.

Energy and Emissions Reduction: Partnering with MidAmerican Energy, the event provided 88.5% clean energy to the Wakonda Club and retired Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to lower its carbon footprint. The tournament remains on track to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.

Community Engagement: Initiatives like Pedal to the PCC encouraged attendees to bike to the event, reducing emissions and promoting eco-friendly transportation. Additionally, over 4,400 pounds of food were donated to local communities through a collaboration with Supply Hive.

Sustainability Grove: This new feature allowed attendees to interact with local organizations promoting sustainability, raising public awareness about environmental responsibility.

Expanding Partnerships: In 2024, the number of sustainability partnerships doubled. Collaborations with key partners such as MidAmerican Energy, Salesforce, and GreenState Credit Union strengthened waste diversion efforts, while new alliances with groups like Des Moines Water Works and Trees Forever supported clean energy initiatives, water conservation, and reforestation projects.

“At the Principal Charity Classic, we are committed to supporting Iowa’s youth while championing sustainability,” stated Alex McCarty, Tournament Director. “With the continued backing of Principal and our partners, we are setting a benchmark for environmentally conscious event management.”

The Principal Charity Classic maintains alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, cementing its status as a leader in sustainability efforts within the PGA TOUR Champions.
