Ampace, a leading provider of advanced lithium-ion battery solutions, is taking part in Data Center World 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (Booth 206), where strong visitor interaction highlights the industry’s growing attention to how power systems must adapt for the AI-driven era.

At this year’s event, Ampace is demonstrating the expanding role of battery technologies in enabling large-scale AI infrastructure. Covering everything from cell innovation to full system integration, and across use cases such as commercial and industrial storage and UPS applications, the company is showcasing solutions aimed at handling increasing power instability, strengthening reliability, and supporting efficient scalability in data centers.

A key feature of the exhibit is the PU Series—Ampace’s AI-focused battery platform designed for the fast-changing demands of modern computing environments. With AI clusters pushing rack densities beyond 100 kW, creating rapid load spikes and frequent workload shifts, traditional backup systems are now expected to perform far beyond emergency scenarios. The PU Series is engineered to manage these rapid variations, ensure consistent output, and sustain uninterrupted operations under fluctuating AI workloads.

One of the highlights of Ampace’s participation is its TECH TALK session with Eaton on April 22 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM (Room 209ABC), titled “Powering Gigascale AI: How Advanced Batteries Stabilize Extreme Training Loads.”

The session features Aaron Schott, UPS Sales Manager at Ampace, and Jon Hymel, Product Manager at Eaton, both of whom work closely with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical clients addressing the challenges of next-generation AI infrastructure.

Together, they will discuss how traditional UPS systems and modern lithium battery technologies are increasingly being integrated to meet the operational needs of AI data centers. The conversation will focus on the role of batteries in enabling real-time load management, enhancing system dependability, and preparing facilities for the shift from megawatt-scale operations to gigawatt-scale computing environments.

Their collaboration reflects a broader industry trend: scaling AI infrastructure requires not only greater power capacity but also smarter integration across UPS systems, energy storage, and facility operations. As data centers evolve, battery-driven reliability is becoming a central concern for technology providers, operators, and infrastructure partners alike.

Designed for intensive AI workloads, Ampace’s platform can respond quickly to power fluctuations during ramp-up and ramp-down cycles while maintaining stability during continuous partial-load use. Its semi-solid cell design improves safety by minimizing leakage risks and reducing the likelihood of thermal runaway gas formation. Additionally, cabinet-level validation under UL 9540A standards supports its suitability for mission-critical environments.

At Booth 206, attendees are exploring how next-generation battery systems can reduce the need for overbuilt infrastructure, ease strain on grid connections, and enhance operational continuity in facilities originally designed for steady, predictable loads. The enthusiastic response underscores a significant shift in perception: batteries are no longer just backup solutions but active elements in AI-driven power ecosystems.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by the booth to connect with the Ampace team, see the PU Series in action, and participate in detailed discussions on advancing resilient, scalable, and efficient AI infrastructure. Experts are available throughout the event for live demos, technical insights, and media interactions.
