MegazoneCloud, an AI-focused digital transformation firm led by CEO Doug Yeum, has unveiled a new generative AI platform for JB Woori Capital, a South Korea-based financial services provider under JB Financial Group. The solution is designed to simplify reporting workflows and boost operational productivity.

Traditionally, JB Woori Capital has invested considerable time in reviewing corporate data and compiling internal reports due to the nature of its business. Preparing essential documents—such as sales approval requests and credit evaluation reports—has required extensive manual effort, slowing decision-making and limiting business growth opportunities.

To overcome these inefficiencies, the company adopted a generative AI-powered system that streamlines document creation and data analysis. This allows employees to reduce repetitive workloads and focus on more strategic tasks.

MegazoneCloud built the platform using its Megazone AIR Consulting and AIR Build services. It operates on Amazon Bedrock and incorporates Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.5 model alongside Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology.

The implementation has led to significant efficiency gains. The time needed to produce sales approval request documents has been reduced by around 80%, while credit review report preparation time has decreased by approximately 30%.

The platform enables users to choose the type of report and relevant internal data sources. It then analyzes the inputs and generates a draft automatically. Initially, the system supports four commonly used report formats that previously required substantial repetitive work.

Employees can further refine drafts through conversational inputs—requesting summaries, additional details, or explanations. The system is fully integrated into JB Woori Capital’s internal portal, allowing users to track progress and access outputs within their existing workflow.

Importantly, the platform adheres to strict financial industry regulations, including Korea’s Electronic Financial Supervisory Regulations and Network Segmentation Security Guidelines.

Given the sensitive nature of financial data and regulatory constraints, the platform was built with a strong focus on security, data governance, and compliance. MegazoneCloud adopted a hybrid architecture, keeping sensitive data on-premises while leveraging cloud-based AI capabilities.

Additional safeguards include VPN-encrypted communication, token- and IP-based access controls, multi-factor authentication (OTP), and an emergency shutdown feature for risk mitigation.

Jae-Kwan Lee, Managing Director of the Digital-IT Division at JB Woori Capital, noted that the platform has significantly reduced time spent on routine reporting tasks. As a result, employees can now dedicate more effort to core functions such as corporate analysis and client engagement. He added that multiple departments, including post-management teams, have seen improved efficiency and collaboration, leading to overall productivity gains.

Lee also highlighted plans to expand AI adoption across the organization, building on the successful implementation while maintaining compliance with strict financial regulations.

James Kong, Chief AI Officer at MegazoneCloud, emphasized that the project demonstrates how generative AI can create measurable value even in highly regulated industries. He added that the company will continue supporting clients with tailored AI and cloud solutions for the financial sector.

The initiative was carried out as part of the Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance, a collaboration program led by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
