EPRI and Southern Company have recently disclosed the keynote speakers for the upcoming Electrification International Conference & Exposition, slated for March 12-14, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. Leading the event will be Arshad Mansoor, President and CEO of EPRI, and Chris Womack, President and CEO of Southern Company.

EPRI's Electrification conference stands out as the exclusive gathering that unites the entire electric technologies ecosystem and stakeholders for collaborative discussions on e-mobility (covering consumer and fleet vehicles, as well as infrastructure), residential and commercial building decarbonization, industrial applications, agriculture, policy, regulatory developments, and more. The conference boasts a comprehensive agenda featuring expert speakers, a fully inclusive exhibit hall, and various networking functions.

Arshad Mansoor emphasized the significance of attending Electrification 2024, stating, "Participants will gain insights into the innovations shaping electrification and decarbonization, along with the processes and policies that could pave the way for our electrified future. Electrification 2024 serves as the essential event for visionaries and decision-makers spanning the entire electrification spectrum. Collaboration across sectors is crucial to developing practical and scalable solutions that align with decarbonization goals and cater to the needs of diverse communities."

The plenary speakers lineup includes representatives from notable companies such as Amazon, the U.S. Department of Energy, Daimler Truck, Exelon, and others. They will participate in panel discussions covering topics like "Driving Community Equity Through Electrification," "Putting Equity to Work in the Community," and "Policy Implications for an Electrified Future." The event encompasses a diverse agenda with eight tracks, encompassing areas such as industrial applications, decarbonized transportation, smart and decarbonized buildings, people and communities, low-carbon fuels in electrification, electrification and grid impacts, and controlled environment agriculture.

“Southern Company is excited to host Electrification 2024 in the state of Georgia, where we are honored to serve millions of customers with their energy needs,” said Womack. “Collaboration and education are foundational principles of the innovation we are cultivating as we work together toward a net zero future.”
