JP Morgan & Its Employee Raise Funds To Help Earthquake Victims In Italy

Italian community to receive “shoulder to shoulder” support from JP Morgan community.


Dailycsr.com – 30 August 2016 – In order to support the relief after the earthquake at Italy, JPMorgan Chase & Co., will making a donation of “$200,000 from the firm and its employees”. The said amount will be transferred to “the Italian Red Cross”.
 
J.P. Morgan has employee strength of “160” in Italy. In the words of the senior country officer for J.P. Morgan, in Italy, Guido Nola:
“We stand shoulder to shoulder with the Italian communities that have suffered significant loss of life and devastating damage. J.P. Morgan has a 100 year history in Italy, and we are deeply committed to supporting the Italian Red Cross’ relief efforts in this dramatic moment for the regions hit by the earthquake and the whole country.”
 
Furthermore, JPMorgan Chase & Co. also informs that:
“In addition to a $100,000 grant, JPMorgan Chase’s special employee giving campaign will match employee donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000, for a total of up to $100,000, to the Italian Red Cross”.
 
The amount, thus donated by JP Morgan will be used by Italian Red Cross for supporting “search and rescue teams” along with setting up “mobile kitchens” for homeless victims of the earthquake.
