Empowering Black Students: Insights from Northern Trust Professionals at ASU Dinner

02/13/2024

Last week, we were honored to be sponsors and collaborators of the impactful Black Professionals & Leaders Dinner hosted at Arizona State University. This event, organized by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Zeta Alpha Chapter, allowed us to contribute to initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between black undergraduate students and professionals in various fields.

The dinner provided a valuable opportunity for students to interact with professionals from diverse industries, gaining insights into the transition from university life to the professional world. Our representatives, LaDonna Corn MBA, MPA, and Gretchen E.F. Williams, MBA, proudly represented Northern Trust at the event. They engaged with students, sharing their experiences and perspectives on careers at Northern Trust and their individual professional journeys.

During their time with the students, LaDonna and Gretchen emphasized the importance of mindset, encouraging them to believe in themselves and remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams. They also highlighted the significance of resilience, reminding students that while adjustments may be necessary along their journey, their core identity remains unchanged.
